The Heritage Bill — Update on progress

In June John Griffiths, Minister for Culture and Sport, released a written statement providing an update on the progress of the Heritage Bill. Following the consultations a number of changes are being introduced. The Bill is also to be accompanied by non statutory guidance which will cover topics such as the sustainable management of listed buildings. For further details on the Bill please refer to the Minister’s statement: Written Statement – The Heritage Bill — Update on progress

The Minister is also working with the Minister for Housing and Regeneration to revise the chapter in Planning Policy Wales on the historic environment and the production of a new technical advice note (TAN) for the historic environment to consolidate and update current guidance.
